Who We Are

We are an independently run family toyshop which has been in our family on William St, Listowel, Co. Kerry for over 120 years! Seán McGillicuddy is now 4th generation after being passed the helm by his father Jackie, before him it was run by Owen, before that Sal and before that PJ began it all in 1902.

We are also a part of the buying group Toymaster which allows us to select from all the major toy brands (and some of the more niche ones too) to bring you the best choice possible.

You may have noticed that recently we have a lot more “geek culture” items on our website like trading cards, models and board games on our site. This is because in late 2023, we expanded opening The Hobby Space in our shop 2 doors up from our Toyshop on the very same street. There we have created a safe space for people to buy, play, build and paint the likes of trading cards, board games, models and more.
